Underpinnings
Underpinning is a method of construction that sees the depth of the foundations to a building being increased. The soil beneath the existing foundation is excavated and is replaced with foundation material, normally concrete, in phases. Foundations literally hold homes in place. In California where we encounter seismic activity with some regularity it is especially important to have a structurally sound foundation. Ezra Construction has the relevant experience to carefully plan and execute your underpinning foundation needs. We can evaluate and solve any and all foundation issues. We work on hillsides and in tight access areas allowing us to serve our customers whether in a dense city or a rural hillside. Our equipment can reach where larger machines cannot, allowing us to work with as little as 8 feet of vertical clearance. Ezra Construction has the relevant experience to carefully plan and execute your underpinning foundation needs. Whether you are looking to add stories to an existing structure or, if your foundation has been damaged Ezra Construction has the ability and the relevant experience to remove, replace, and strengthen the foundations of your project.
